Yes. The optional topper uses 100% British wool. It is not blended with synthetic fibres, allowing it to naturally regulate temperature, wick moisture, and resist odours — helping to create the perfect sleeping environment.

As a natural wool product, some initial shedding is normal, particularly when new. This will settle quickly with use. Regular brushing or light vacuuming will help keep it looking its best.

Yes. We would recommend the outer cover is wiped clean, however it can also be machine washed at 30°C if required. The wool topper (if used) is removable and machine washable at 30°C using a wool-safe detergent and then air dried. The inner mattress is protected by a water-resistant cover and can be spot cleaned.

The Working Dog Bed is designed for heavy, everyday use. The 1000-denier outer is extremely tough, and all components are replaceable or repairable, ensuring long-term performance.

No bed is completely chew-proof, but this is our toughest option. The Working Dog Bed is designed to withstand significantly more wear and tear than traditional fabric beds, making it the best choice for more demanding environments or more destructive dogs.

As a general guide, a Terrier-sized dog would suit a Small, a Spaniel a Small Medium, a Labrador a Large Medium, and sharers or very large dogs a Large — but we recommend checking our size guide. The Working Dog Mat is also designed to align with standard crate sizes for a precise fit.
