CertiPur Foams Certification
The foams we use are all certified CeritPUR. This is a voluntary safety and quality certification for polyurethane foams (including memory foam) used in bedding and upholstered furniture across the UK and Europe.
It certifies that the foams are made without harmful chemicals, is safe for long-term human contact, and has very low emissions — i.e. it’s safe to sleep on.
Foams that conform to CertiPUR are notably certified to be:
- Made without heavy metals such as mercury, lead, or
cadmium for example - Made without dyes that are carcinogenic or allergenic
as described by EU legislation - Made without Phthalate plasticisers
- Made without substances that cause cancer or may cause
heritable genetic damage - Emitting low levels of VOCs
(volatile organic compounds)
